Spring

Image
Spring is in the air                                                            Photo on Unsplash by Toa Heftiba    Early sprightly spring wants some thrill S napping at heels with winter’s fading chill Nature rollicking between two seasons Time to smile, the Goldilocks weather one of the reasons Branches slowly getting a new life Flowers searching their petals in sun’s light Mild breeze flirting with trees A perfect time to sow some seeds Birds building nests, tuning to new melody Hiding animals emerge, butterflies fluttery Some run to forests to soak in nature’s splendour Where the new beginnings are in full grandeur Flowers and barbecue smells race to fill the air Earth slowly getting dressed up in a multitude of colour Sky bluer and grass greener Take a leaf from nature, inject glow in life, you’re the painter Spring is nature’s rebirth song Lend your voice, sing along Spring brings new joy and a cheerful vibe in our lives. Let’s start afresh with a spring in our step and a song

Reset

Image
We need to reset for a clear mind                                                   Photo by Rob Wingate on Unsplash Staying in a country home With floor-to-ceiling windows Enjoying the perfumed air wafting inside my room Hidden away on a hill Noise unknown People kind, weather chill The panoramic views Immersed in surreal So many colors, brilliant hues Inside, the place is basic Somewhat rustic Outside a lazy pond, some trees dressed, and some naked Not much for the hedonistic crowd An off-grid place Bur incredibly refreshing and I was wowed That time of the calendar When you say goodbye to the year You want to be free and just wander Enveloped in sunrays, I welcome my morning Surrounded by the rawness of nature A reset- an answer to my longing Whistling a song Savoring the moment I bake a cake, time quietly flowing along

Morning

Photo by Ray Hennessy on Unsplash Breaking dawn Birds on the lawn Singing songs as if rehearsed in the night Trees busy Shedding leaves swiftly Declaring a change in scene Some pretty flowers still clinging on Bobbing their heads to the summer that's almost gone A new trail of beginnings unfolds Sun's milder  Somewhat kinder The change in weather- oh so refreshing Nature in its flow and cadence Spritzes our life with a new fragrance Wake up and experience the gifts of daylight These morning walkers The buoyant mood of joggers Running and inhaling the nippy air This wonderous  morning rich in quietness Fills me with peace and brightness Bristling with this energy, I carry on with my journey

Know Life

Live with Elan…                                                     Photo by Duan Mendes on Unsplash C'mon soak in this cosmic play In its entirety just don't delay Pose, wink, and smize- it's your runway                                .    .   . Life beckons you  to feel alive every day Like a potter who shapes his dough of clay Let your style speak for the mood of the day                                   .    .   . Wear your florals, checks, and swirl away Life is a mosaic of designs full of colorways Design a motif that shows a sunray                                 .    .    . Zhuzh up a style with some glitter spray So rich is the tapestry, dig deep and slay Your personality shall ooze oomph all the way                                  .    .    . The canopy of autumn leaves winks to cozy days Drape it all because nothing will ever just stay Give warm fuzzies and sweep your worries away                                    .     .    . Time has the habit of running aw

Nature's Symphony

Photo by Catherine Kay Greenup on Unsplash The mountain peak and the river serene Yes, I was in heaven the moment I reached The sun was playing hide and seek Redolent with the scent of trees, this place was a retreat The wonderous trails and the waterfall in between The valley was slowly getting revealed A far-off deer grazing in the fields The chirping of various birds was a symphony on repeat The carpet of flowers was a feast for the eyes indeed The visceral joy of being one with nature made me complete A stroke of painting was there to be seen Met a group of monks singing hymns, and some blessings I received
